General
You may freely view our web site and use its forms to communicate with us. You may not copy either our text or our images, as all content is copyright protected. You may request the use of images or text by writing to us at support@emersonart.com
We do not require membership or any other special arrangement with visitors for them to enjoy our image galleries.
Linking/Advertising
You may link to our site, but not directly to our images. Ideally, your link should point to our home page (http://emersonart.com), but we won't complain should you link to a sub-page. Please contact us about links BEFORE placing them on your site. We am willing to place a link from our site to yours, if we consider it mutually beneficial to do so. We will not link to adult sites of any kind, nor do we want them linking to us.
Advertising on our site must be arranged, so please contact us at support@emersonart.com to work something out.
Making Payments On Orders
When you agree to our quote for your artwork or web design, you may pay us by PayPal using this email address: emersonstudios1@juno.com. Alternatively, you may request us to set up a payment page to PayPal for credit card payments. You don't need to set up a PayPal account to pay us this way.
We ask that half our quoted price be paid with your order. The balance is due when you have approved the final version of the artwork or web design. You may also pay the entire price upfront, if you wish.
Release of Rights and Final Images
We can not release final images until full payment is received. We also retain copyright on all images and web design work until full payment is received.
Full payment received means the copyright (all rights) for the work we did goes to the client. If paying us by check, the check must clear before the final images and copyright are released or the use of the website we designed can be given over.
We also retain full rights over any drawings, graphics, or web designs that clients may reject in the course of developing their projects. For example, if we are hired to create a character mascot for a client's web site and the client approves one of three character designs submitted to him for further development, we still have full rights over the two designs rejected.
Additional Charges
Additional charges pertain only if we are asked to perform more than 3 revisions on the project artwork or a web site design. A fourth revision to a $125 caricature, for example, is $45. For every revision after the fourth, a $25 charge is applied. The lower the price of the caricature or other art, the lower the revision charges. The good news is that we rarely have to apply revision charges to a project, as we usually get the job right within 4 revisions.
Privacy Statement
If you give us personal information, we will keep it totally private. We will neither share it with another individual or business nor sell it. Our site doesn't even use cookies. We respect your privacy AND your right to have nothing added to your computer or changed in your computer just because you visit our site. We are against all intrusive practices.
